| Redox Biosciens Inc.(RBS) is a venture company which is originated in Kyoto University. We conduct businesses with the anti-stress protein, Thioredoxin (TRX) which was cloned by Dr. Junji Yodoi in 1989. We are advancing to apply TRX to various fields such as pharmaceuticals, functional foods and diagnostic methods in cooperation with Institute for Virus Research, Kyoto University (IVR) and Translational Research Center (TRC), Kyoto University in pursuit of developing products which can prevent people from stress related diseases. We currently develop an innovative medication for respiratory diseases in TRX project of TRC. With positive results of safety tests on animals, we are going to do a clinical trial. TRX project in National Agricultural and Bio-oriented Research Organization were completed last year. Functional foods based on that project will be released early in the next year. We pursue the joint research and development on diagnostic medicines and a stress monitoring system with some companies, while having launched a series of public relation activities to increase sales of TRX Antibody and TRX Elisa kit. We are also improving a prototype of handy diagnostic device in hopes of its earliest commercial releases. Redox Bioscience Inc. thus aims to exploit basic technologies which can apply to wide range of products, expanding its businesses not only in domestic but in international.
